Members of the Society for Creative Anachronism strive to recreate all pleasant aspects of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, especially the Arts and Sciences that surrounded people alive between AD 600 - AD 1600.  Members produce works as varied as illuminated manuscript pages, armor, woven cloth and bands, medieval and renaissance jewellery, paintings, clothing, woodcrafts, and many other items.  These pieces are created using the makers best attempt at a period style and with as many period materials as are available.
